Committee Clears The Way For Tall Ships, Midway
At its meeting this week, the Physical Services Committee paved the way for three tall ships to visit the Port City next month. The full council will also consider allowing Harborfest to use the same location as last year for its midway.

Roman Confirmed as County Court Judge
Governor David A. Paterson today announced that the Honorable David J. Roman was confirmed by the New York State Senate on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Governor Paterson nominated Judge Roman last month to fill an interim vacancy in Oswego County Court.

Cleanup of Former Fulton Mall Property to Resume
The cleanup of pollution at the former Fulton Mall site on the city’s north side can resume, now that city lawmakers have approved an increase in the cost of the work.
Lawmakers this week authorized the Mayor to sign a change order increasing the cost of the work at the site from $85,000 to $130,000. All of the cost of the project will be paid by state or federal grants.

Students Get A Taste Of Job Interview Process
Several Oswego High School students got a taste of the job interview process Wednesday in the school’s Media Center. Dozens of local professionals volunteered to conduct mock interviews to help prepare students for college and job interviews. One OHS grad returned to take part in the project again – this time, as the interviewer.
