Do This This Weekend: The Great Eastern Whiteout
If you love snowmobiles, this is your weekend. The Great Eastern Whiteout comes to Oswego County this weekend, based at Bullhead Point on Route 3 in Fulton.There’s a party Friday night, races on Lake Neatahwanta Saturday and a trail ride on Sunday. Throughout the weekend, you can see vintage snowmobiles.

Oswego Grad Murdered in Boston Suburb
An Oswego High School graduate was murdered in her Boston-area home earlier this week, and police say her husband admitted to the killing.
Christina Foote Mulgrave was stabbed many times by her husband, Craig, police allege. She died in their apartment in Haverhill, Massachusetts on Tuesday. Christina Foote graduated from Oswego High School in 1982. She worked as a nurse.

Legislature Takes Up Nuke Plant Taxes, Pay Raises, Bridges
The plants, all in the town of Scriba, will pay no property taxes until at least 2016 under an agreement with the owners of the nuclear plants. Legislators will consider scrapping that law. Today, they’ll vote on whether to hold a public hearing on the issue, a required step in changing a local law.
Mr. Callahan Goes To Washington
Oswego High School student Aaron Callahanhas been recognized for his leadership abilities and nominated to attend the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. It’s something “close to my heart,” the future public servant said.
