Last month seemed more like spring than late fall. It was 5.4 degrees warmer than average. It was 2.78 inches below average for precipitation. And, snowfall was 9.1 inches below normal.
An argument between brothers ended when one shot the other early today, according to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department.
It happened at Lot 3 of the Mapleview Trailer Park on Rt. 11 in the town of Mexico at about 3:51 Tuesday morning.
The sports season starts with disappointments for the hockey and girls volleyball teams, but the girls basketball squad has a chance to begin with a win tonight. Also, students are honored for helping others or improving their grades.
Helen Hoefer can sum up the pace of her business in one word: “Booming”.
That’s not good news. Hoefer runs the food pantry and other emergency services for Catholic Charities of Oswego County. “Our numbers are up about 33% and I think it’s going to get a lot worse,” she said.
