Fulton Schools May Tackle One More Building Project

The Fulton City School District may ask taxpayers to approve another building project this Fall, just a few months into the current one.

The project would spend about $3.75 million and would take care of issues that were pulled out of the current $26 million construction project to keep it on budget.

Very little or none of the cost will be borne by taxpayers, district officials say.

Poll: Voters Are Angry With Senators, Plan To Vote Them Out

You’re angry.  A new poll from Siena College says that New Yorkers are overwhelmingly angry at their state politicians and plan to hold onto that anger until they get a chance to vote.

Siena, which polls on statewide political questions regularly, finds 74% of people polled said they had an unfavorable opinion of the State Senate after its month-long leadership struggle.  Back in February, only 43% held an unfavorable view.

Trial Postponed A Month For Fulton Man Accused Of Hurting Small Child

Robby Guppy of Fulton has had his trial delayed a month.

The Fulton man is accused of beating his 18-month old daughter last year and of burning her with cigarettes because she would not go to sleep.

Guppy’s lawyer tells the Post-Standard the trial is now set for Aug. 24.

Oswego Men Get Probation In Stolen Silver Case

Three men from Oswego will get probation for selling $70,000 of silver stolen from Rochester’s Kodak.

NewsChannel 9 reports that James Pauldine, William Hill and Ronald DeGroff will all have to make restitution and spend between 3 and 5 years on probation, while Pauldine will also spend four months of weekends in jail.

Memory Of Pulaski Parole Officer Killed In Accident Will Be Honored Today

A fallen parole officer from Pulaski will be honored today in Albany.

Jeffrey Woolson’s name will be added to the state Parole Officers Memorial in Albany, in a morning ceremony at Empire State Plaza that will feature a gathering of parole and probation officers from around the state. Gov. David Paterson will speak at the ceremony.
