Former Fulton mayor Daryl Hayden is preparing to take a different seat at city hall. Hayden, a Democrat, won the Fourth Ward Alderman’s seat during this week’s General Election against incumbent Republican Dana Smith.
The opening of the new Route 104 Bridge will take place on Monday, approximately three weeks ahead of the scheduled date of completion. â€ÂÂThis new bridge on Route 104 is not only a vital part of the connection between east and west in the City of Oswego; it is a symbol of Oswego’s commercial and economic resurgence,” Mayor Randy Bateman said.
The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau and YMCA (along with others) will try to set a new world record – for the largest Uno card game. They invite everyone to take part. The goal is to have at least 1,000 players.
The event, hosted at the Oswego Elks Lodge, provided an opportunity to learn about the many human services programs available to youth in Oswego County. The presentations touched on job training, mentoring, family focused programming, juvenile justice services, recreation, health/mental health and much more.
The United States Air Force Liberty Big Band will perform in concert in Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School on Thursday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m. The concert is free of charge.
A woman from Oswego faces federal charges in South Carolina, for allegedly causing an alcohol-fueled disturbance on an airplane so severe that air marshalls duct taped her to her seat to stop her and diverted the flight to get her off the plane.
