Man Injured In Sunday Evening Fire
An occupant of a Duer Street apartment suffered minor burns as he escaped from the burning building. Fire investigators have ruled the fire “accidental.” It was caused by cooking oil left unattended on top of a stove, they said.

After two years of construction, Northeast Biofuels sold its first shipment of ethanol Friday. Fastrac Markets purchased the ethanol for blending as “E-10,†which will be sold at Fastrac locations throughout Central New York. The next step for NEB is to focus on sustainability, according to plant manager Brian Roach.
