Teen Dies In Volney Crash

At 6:29 a.m. today members off the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to County Route 6, south of Clifford Road in the town of olney for a two-car motor vehicle accident. Preliminary investigation revealed that the southbound Hyundai Elantra, operated by 19-year-old Jericho Bond, of Mexico, collided with a northbound Volkswagen Jetta, operated by Bruce Mott, 36, of Locke, NY. Bond was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said.

Group Seeks To Display Positive Messages In Oswego

At Monday night’s Physical Services Committee meeting, Jamie Leszczynski, of SAVE CNY, requested to display positive messages and posters throughout Oswego on September 1. SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education), works to prevent suicide through public awareness and education, reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and serves as a resource to those touched by suicide.

One Dead, One Hospitalized Following Amboy Crash

At approximately 2:15 p.m. today (August 19), the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-car fatal motor vehicle accident in the town of Amboy. The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A male passenger was transported to Upstate Hospital, Syracuse, with non-life threatening injuries, deputies said.
