Public Invited To Speedway Street Dedication

Romey Caruso invited the public to a ceremony recognizing his father and uncles, Harry, George and Bill Caruso. The trio, founders of the iconic Oswego Speedway, will be memorialized on Saturday, June 30. A section of East Albany Street near the speedway will officially be renamed Caruso Brothers Boulevard in their honor.

Haunted History Trail of New York State Wins 2018 PRism Award

The statewide tourism trail earned two recognitions for excellence in marketing and public relations – one first-place PRism Award and one Award of Excellence. The PRism was awarded for the Trail’s “Spooky” Social Media. In 2017, they hired Break the Ice Media, to create and execute a strategy around Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Channels, with a goal to increase reach, tap into new audiences and increase overnight visitation.

A Heat Wave Is Coming – Are You Ready?

A heat wave – three consecutive days of 90+ degrees – is forecast headed into the weekend with temperatures flaring up to near 100 for Sunday’s Independence Day Parade. Those most at risk for heat-related illness are young children and the elderly. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid 90s with high humidity on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
