Student Charged After Posting Threatening Picture To Snapchat Regarding School Violence

At about 3 p.m. today (March 27), the New York State Police were notified of a possible threat of school violence at the Mexico High School. The threat involved a digital image posted to snap chat. The investigation determined that a student photographed another student holding a firearm and posted the image with a caption “Next School Shooter” on snap chat.

Council Approves Pair Of Tax Exemption Plans

Earlier this month, the mayor proposed to make permanent the City of Oswego Residential Home Improvement Tax Exemption, a tax break to encourage home improvement projects. And, he also proposed a new local law that provides a similar tax exemption for businesses within the city of Oswego that improve, expand or renovate their property. “I’ve been stationed at Naval Base San Diego my entire tour,” he told Oswego County Today. “I was driving to work one day, I think it was February 21, and in front of me a vehicle ran a stop light.” Two other vehicles were caught up in the ensuing collision.
