Community, the recurring theme of the opening, was strongly emphasized as Tops officials, village representatives, customers, Tops associates and the Hannibal Tops store manager Sean Grant officially opened the 172nd chain store of Tops Market.

Council Seeks Public Input on Proposed Local Law

The Common Council voted unanimously Monday night to set a public hearing regarding a change to the city code. City Attorney Kevin Caraccioli requested consideration of amending the provisions Chapter 83-5 of the city code. There is a need to ensure that property owners, including landlords, adhere to the code of the city, the attorney said, adding that the local law would do that and provide the city with the flexibility to enforce additional, applicable provisions of the code, he noted.

Renovation Projects Being Completed Daily at Oswego Speedway

Improvements to the historic “Steel Palace” Oswego Speedway are progressing smoothly in advance of the 45th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week on October 2-9. With just under four weeks until DIRT cars take the 0.625-mile oval, crews are scattered around the grounds of the Oswego Speedway freshening up the 65-year-old facility.
