Senator Ritchie Hosts Job Fair, Roundtable Meeting in Fulton

New York State Senator Patty Ritchie representing the 48th district had an eventful yet successful trip to Oswego County last week (May 19), focusing largely on the Fulton area. Ritchie hosted her annual Oswego County Job Fair at the Fulton Community Ice Arena where more than 50 businesses displayed their employment opportunities for potential employees. Ritchie then quickly made her way to CNY Arts Center on the Cayuga Community College campus to continue to bring help and change to the Fulton area at a roundtable meeting hosted by the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce.

Joint Investigation results in arrest of Pulaski Man for possession of Child Pornography

A joint investigation conducted by the New York State Police in Pulaski, the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the U.S. Department of the Army, Criminal Investigation Command, resulted in the arrest of 25-year-old, Blake A. Bryant from Pulaski, for (1) count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, a class “D” felony and (2) counts of Possession of Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony.

Ritchie Calls On PSC To Preserve Nuclear Energy, Protect FitzPatrick

State Senator Patty Ritchie called for New York State to preserve nuclear energy and protect the FitzPatrick Nuclear Plant in a letter to the Public Service Commission delivered as part of a public hearing held in Oswego on the PSC’s Clean Energy Standard, which has set a goal of the state achieving 50 percent renewable energy generation by 2030.

Clean Energy Standard Hearings Revolve Around Nuclear Energy

The Public Service Commission held two in a month-long series of public hearings on Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Clean Energy Standard (CES) in Oswego on Tuesday. It was the 11th hearing so far. The next one will be in Syracuse. The vast majority of speakers focused on saving the James A. FitzPatrick nuclear plant.
