Having observed elections to boards of education in the Oswego area for about 58 years, I have come to the conclusion that the election of “good” persons to boards is one of the most important decisions made by the voting public. The quality of board members is a key issue in public education today.
I am writing in support of Fran Zaryski for a spot on the Oswego City School District Board of Education. Fran is a man of integrity. He has worked hard in the field of finance his whole life.He spent many years as a senior budget analyst at Alcan and then many more years as a self employed accountant specializing in tax preparation.
More than 300 volunteers scoured the canal corridor including the roadways on both sides of Oswego River, adjacent parking lots, grass and shrub embankments, and pedestrian pathways as well as lake view areas east of Fort Ontario to Rudy’s in the west. They did so with good spirit and stories to tell.
Our library is a “free public library.” It is used by everyone in the area, both city and country. The services provided by our library are too numerous to mention.
This message is for all the drivers that are using the Broadway Bridge in the city of Fulton. The bridge is going through reconstruction, which means that you will be experiencing delays but you need to use common sense and courtesy
The dance was truly an inclusive event, bringing together the college and the community. We have heard so many comments from everyone who was at the dance – consumers and sorority sisters both, including: “Last night was awesome” and “It was so much fun. I loved the dancing.”
This April 22, will be the 42nd Anniversary of Earth Day. There will be millions of people worldwide taking part in events, programs and projects that protect and advocate the sustainability of our planet.
Today, I am very pleased to announce that the Ethics Complaint filed against me last December by former County Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann has been unanimously dismissed by the Oswego County Board of Ethics as being meritless.
How can the government keep telling us that these new type of drugs are dangerous and ban the use of them, when we know that the drugs that are legal are just as dangerous or more so and have been proven so for many decades?
