Time for a 2019 Recap!

The Corps officers, Captain Heather Odom and Lieutenant Alberta Rakestraw, and members of the Advisory Board of the Oswego County Salvation Army offer their sincere thanks to several Oswego restaurateurs, members of Zonta and the Oswego Lions Club, and members of the public for their generous support of the Guest Chef Dinners of 2019.

Tobacco-Free CNY would like to thank Mayor William Barlow and the city of Oswego Common Council for showing your commitment to protect the health and well-being of the city of Oswego residents by passing the Keep Oswego Clean initiative.

I traveled with a few neighbors from Pulaski to Oswego on November 14 to speak at the County Legislature meeting regarding the issue of rural transportation. After that experience, I have a couple of thoughts and a recommendation for our legislature.

Do you remember the ”Talk is Cheap Letter“? Well the Common Council and the mayor pulled a fast one on the public.

All I’ve heard from city leaders is talk about how great the city of Fulton was and is.
How it is a great place to raise a family. How we have so many great things to offer people to visit and stay here in Fulton.

“Late last night I heard my screen door slam; a big yellow bulldozer (with an Oswego County logo) took away the house and land, Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.”

Recently you may have read that the 2020 tentative budget for Oswego County showed no increase in taxes and no money coming out of the fund balance.
