Financial plans for public schools are built on a delicate balance between reasonable expenditures, and revenue from state aid and taxes. In finding balance with the proposed budget for the 2014-2015 school year, the district leaders and members of the board of education have worked diligently to craft a spending plan that is efficient yet supportive of our educational mission. ‘A huge step forward for public health’

In recent news, CVS/Caremark has announced their plans to end all tobacco sales by October 1 of this year. This is a huge step forward for public health. It has been a conflict of interest for pharmacies, providers of health care, to also profit from the sale of harmful products such as tobacco, known to cause cancer, heart and pulmonary diseases.
