James Shutts Memorial ‘Double Deuce’ to Honor Longtime Racer at Oswego Kartway Classic
Family is a crucial part of auto racing and Oswego Kartway recently lost one of its own in longtime kart owner and driver, James Shutts. Shutts was a competitor across several divisions at the Kartway and was most recently crowned the Kartway’s 2017 Masters track champion and the Super Heavy Clone Kartway Classic winner.

‘The Voice’ Competitor Carpentier to Hold Meet and Greet, Perform Anthems Saturday at Oswego Speedway
Gary Carpentier, a 27-year-old singer/songwriter from Oswego, who made national debut this past fall on season 13 of NBC’s ‘The Voice,’ will sing both anthems as well as hold a meet and greet as part of the Century 21 Galloway and Oswego D Bus Independence Weekend special at Oswego Speedway Saturday.

Oswego Speedway Founders To Be Honored
Harry, George and Bill Caruso, founders of Oswego Speedway, will be memorialized as East Albany Street, west of Jim Shampine Drive, is recognized as Caruso Brothers Boulevard at a dedication ceremony on Saturday, June 30, at 4 p.m. The dedication will take place at the corner of East Albany Street and Shampine Drive just across from the speedway.
