Mike Bond is the all-time winningest driver in the Pathfinder Bank SBS division at Oswego Speedway and last night he showed why after bouncing back from a crash on Opening Night to outduel Dan Kapuscinski for victory in the 30-lap ‘Spring Championship’ presented by A&P Auto Parts.

Defending speedway champion Dave Shullick Jr. drove to his thirteenth overall Oswego Speedway victory and second of the season in last night’s A&P Auto Parts ‘Spring Championship.’ Dan Connors Jr. and the A&P Auto Parts sponsored car of Jeff Abold lead the field to green with Abold jumping to the top spot right away using the high road off the exit of turn two.

The 358 DIRTcar Modified feature Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway had fans on the edge of their seats right down to the checkered flag that would see Hastings, NY, Tim Sears Jr. make the trip to victory lane. Sears, who started 11th would chase and make the winning pass going by modified rookie Todd Root who lead from the drop of the green with just 2 laps to go in the 35-lap feature.

The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team has released its 2018-19 schedule along with ticketing information for the upcoming campaign. In all, the Lakers will host 17 home games in the friendly confines of the Marano Campus Center Arena during the season.

The girls’ varsity lacrosse team celebrated its end of season banquet with a few things to hand out for the season. This year, three of our players were nominated for Section 3 SCAC Empire league Honorable Mention.

A solid showing of 20 Supermodifieds showed up in the pit area for Oswego Speedway’s 68th season opener two weeks ago and after a promising start to the 2018 season car count wise, as many as five different Supermodifieds are expected trackside this weekend including one new rookie.

This Saturday, June 9, at the Fulton Speedway Syracuse Haulers will present a night of fast, family, affordable, racing fun for all ages on the ’Highbanks.’ The Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, SUNY Canton DIRTcar Sportsman, Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux RUSH Late Models and E&V Energy Novice Sportsman will put on a night of high speed racing thrills.

After a week off following the completion of Oswego Speedway’s 68th annual season opener on May 26, the ‘Steel Palace’ will return to action June 9 when A&P Auto Parts presents ‘Spring Championship’ events for the Novelis Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS.
