The Oswego State men’s basketball team fell to Plattsburgh, 89-75, on Saturday. With the loss, Oswego moves to 7-8 overall and an even 4-4 in SUNYAC play, while Plattsburgh improves to 9-4 on the season and 7-1 in conference action.
The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team was sharp all-around as it defeated the Nazareth Golden Flyers, 5-1, at home on Saturday night. With the victory, the Lakers improve to 11-3-1 on the season, while Nazareth falls to 8-6-2.
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team defeated Potsdam, 4-1, at home on Friday night. With the win, the Lakers improve to an even 7-7-0 on the season and 4-3-0 in NEWHL play, while Potsdam falls to 8-5-1 overall and 1-5-1 in conference action.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team dropped a back-and-forth affair 75-72 to Potsdam in Max Ziel Gymnasium on Friday night. With the loss, the Lakers fall to .500 overall (7-7) but remain one game above that mark in conference action (4-3). Potsdam is now 8-6, 3-4.

Registrations for the upcoming Little League season will be held in the cafeteria area of the Fulton War Memorial on January 13 (8 a.m. -1 p.m.), January 20 (1 – 6 p.m.) and January 27 (8 a.m. – 6 p.m.). All boys and girls ages 4 through16 who reside within either the Fulton or Hannibal school districts boundaries or attend a school in either Fulton or Hannibal are eligible to play Fulton Little League baseball or softball.

Teenage up-and-comer Tyler Thompson had never driven a TQ Midget before arriving at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pa., on January, 5. By the end of the weekend, Thompson earned the right to battle wheel to wheel with some of the biggest names in short track racing as a part of the Indoor Auto Racing Championship fueled by VP Racing Fuels.
For the past 31 years, the $10,000 to win Mr. Novelis Supermodified has become a trademark at Oswego Speedway as one of the must-see events on the track’s schedule. To add to the excitement, in 2018, Mr. Supermodified will return to a unique distance of 75-laps for only the fifth time in speedway history.
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team put on an offensive show on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Utica Pioneers 5-2. With the win, the Lakers improve to 6-7 this season and the Pioneers move to 7-5. A little more than 13 minutes into the first period, the Lakers captured the lead.
