The Oswego State baseball team will follow its most successful season in program history with a No. 15 preseason ranking to start 2018, according to Collegiate Baseball’s NCAA Division III poll. Last season, the Lakers won their first State University of New York Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championship since 1996.

2018 Rule Changes Announced for Oswego’s Supermodifieds

Ahead of Oswego’s Speedway’s 68th season opener featuring Jim Shampine Memorial Twin 50s for the Supermodifieds on May 26, track officials have announced a small number of rule changes for the division in anticipation of the 2018 season. The only Supermodified rule adjustments for this coming season will consist of a shock change as well as a new outline for shovel type tails on the rear section of the race cars.

Lakers Set 3-Point Record, Pound Saints For Leone’s 200th

The Oswego State men’s basketball team defeated St. Lawrence, 100-63, on Friday night, earning Coach Jason Leone his 200th victory of his career. With the win, the Lakers improve to 5-4 this season, while the Saints fall to 2-6. Oswego buried 19 3-pointers against the Saints, breaking the old program record for the most 3-pointers in a game.
