To start the season, for the first time since 1972, the speedway will hold Jim Shampine Memorial Twin 50 events for the Novelis Supermodifieds alongside a 35-lap Tony White Memorial lid lifter for the Pathfinder Bank SBS division on Opening Day. These two races on Memorial Day Weekend will kick off the speedway’s 2018 ‘Road to the Championship’ points campaign on a rather exciting note.
Set to take place on August 11, the speedway will reserve this ‘Road to the Championship’ program as an action-packed evening full of family friendly events for all ages in an effort to help fans interact with drivers and teams while introducing the Supermodifieds to new generations of young race fans.

The 2018 Small Block Supermodified class at Oswego Speedway will see yet another quarter midget racer move up to full-size competition and take aim at the coveted SBS ‘Rookie of the Year’ honors handed out at the end of the season.
