The Oswego State men’s basketball team had its five-game win streak snapped with a 66-63 loss to Utica College in the title of the Pioneers’ tournament on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 6-5 on the year while Utica goes to 5-4 overall and 4-0 on its home court.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team (6-4) returned from a 13-day hiatus by extending its win streak to five with a 77-70 victory over SUNY Canton (2-9) in the second game of the Utica College Classic on Friday evening.

Ahead of Oswego’s Speedway’s 68th season opener featuring Jim Shampine Memorial Twin 50s for the Supermodifieds on May 26, track officials have announced a small number of rule changes for the division in anticipation of the 2018 season. The only Supermodified rule adjustments for this coming season will consist of a shock change as well as a new outline for shovel type tails on the rear section of the race cars.
