The nationally-ranked Oswego State men’s ice hockey team was unable to capture a win in Norwich University’s Northfield Savings Bank Holiday Tournament, suffering a 3-0 loss to Nazareth College in Saturday’s consolation game. With Oswego Speedway’s 2017 season schedule moving into its final stages of completion, commitment program renewals for the Novelis Supermodified and Pathfinder Bank SBS divisions have been sent to teams as the Speedway continues to move full speed ahead towards the 67th consecutive season of racing at the famed ‘Steel Palace.’
Mexico’s serving game proved to be too much for us tonight. We were forced back on our heels a lot in set 1 and then in set 2 and set 3 we started to stage a comeback but fell short. Monday we hosted Central Square and we were able to keep our game moving and we served very well against them.
The banquet, set to begin with awards at 1 p.m., will once again honor the season-long track champions in all Kartway divisions as well as the Kartway’s Summer Shootout Champions, the Jr. and Sr. drivers of the year, and one Oswego Kartway Triple Crown Champion.
