The No. 7/8 Oswego State men’s ice hockey team on Friday night (Nov. 11) defeated the host Red Dragons of Cortland 4-1 at Alumni Arena. Nationally-ranked Oswego’s victory keeps its perfect start to the campaign alive at 5-0-0 overall and 3-0-0 in SUNYAC action while Cortland drops to 2-3-0, 1-2-0.
The Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center in Oswego was once again the resplendent site of the annual Oswego Speedway Awards Banquet and Mitchell’s Speedway Press Hall of Fame inductions on Saturday night, November 5. Special award presentations started the evening off with Mark Kapuscinski, of the Oswego Speedway Safety Crew, receiving the Ed Clark Spirit Award for 2016.
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team remained perfect on the year with a 6-0 victory over Chatham University on Saturday afternoon at the Marano Campus Center Arena. With the win, Oswego improves to 4-0-0 on the year and 2-0-0 in the ECAC Women’s West.
