Due to a couple fast paced rain showers last week, Oswego Kartway’s ‘King of the Kartway’ championship has been moved to this Friday, July 15. The first round in the Kartway’s Triple Crown, the ‘King of the Kartway’ is a staple event at the Bullring and is expected to draw some outside competition this week.
Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway Mother Nature threw a few curve balls but not enough to dampen the spirits of the racers and fans in attendance on a successful family autograph night presented by McDonald’s Restaurants and the JPW Companies.

When the checkered flag falls on Oswego Speedway’s Summer Championship, set for July 16 and presented by Crop Production Services, the return of the fan favorite Demolition Derby will take center stage. Drivers in the derby must be 16 years of age or older, participating in a six- or eight-cylinder vehicle. The last car running will be declared the winner of the Derby, with $1,000 going to the winner.
Yet another 120 entries took the green flag during Friday night’s Independence Weekend Grand Prix events at Oswego Kartway, with young Jake Holmes earning his first Kartway victory of the season in the No. 21H.
With the racing heating up as hot as the summer temperatures, there will be fun for everyone on and off the race track Saturday, July 9, at the Fulton Speedway presented by McDonald’s Restaurants and the JPW Companies.
King of Wings VIII will mark the second round of the Shea Concrete ‘Steel Palace’ ISMA Super Series at the Speedway, bringing the best in winged Supermodified racing to the Port City for the right to wear the crown that comes along with a King of Wings championship.
