Ohio Supermodified veteran and defending International Supermodified Association champion Dave Shullick Jr. will compete in both ends of the Port City 160 ‘Super Spectacle’ on Saturday at Oswego Speedway – driving his Jim Bodnar No. 95 chassis in winged competition, while driving a potent John Nicotra Racing Hawk chassis entry in non-wing action.
For the second consecutive season the ISMA Supermodifieds and Novelis Supermodifieds will take on the famed Oswego Speedway on the same night as a part of the Port City 160 ‘Super Spectacle’ presented by Corr/Pak Merchandising and Shea Concrete this Saturday, May 28.
David Hackett Jr. stormed to his second consecutive victory of the season in Oswego Kartway’s Sr. Blue Clone division on Friday night at the ‘Bullring.’ Driving the No. 82, Hackett beat out Justin Pier, Carl Emmons III, Brandon Demling, and Jake Holmes for the top spot in the most experienced junior division that the Kartway has to offer.
Beginning Monday at 8:30 a.m. and every Monday through the 2016 racing season, Oswego Speedway will present Central New York Race Center on 95.7 WAQX-FM as a part of the Morning Mess with Marty and Shannon.
One week after blowing an engine in his No. 22 Pathfinder Bank SBS machine, Mike Bruce and team worked until the very last minute Saturday morning installing a freshened Pat Morrison power plant, and then promptly drove it to Turning Stone Resort Casino Victory Lane at the Speedway as a part of Saturday’s Best Western PLUS/Quality Inn and Suites Fan Appreciation Night.
Oswego Speedway’s Road to the Championship continued on Saturday night with Liverpool driver Kody Graham snaring the lead from Joe Gosek on lap 14 to eventually pull away to his fifth career Novelis Supermodified victory at Oswego, and the first for an independent front end machine since 2007, on Best Western PLUS/Quality Inn and Suites Riverfront Fan Appreciation Night.
