The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team improves its win streak to four in a row as it defeated Morrisville 6-2 at the Marano Campus Center Arena on Friday night. With the win, the Lakers improve to 14-2-3 on the season and 9-1-1 in the conference. Morrisville goes to 7-9-5 overall, 5-6-2 in the SUNYAC.
The visiting Oswego State men’s basketball team downed Fredonia 65-53 on Friday afternoon, claiming a win over its conference foe. The victory elevates Oswego to 13-6 overall and keeps it tied for the SUNYAC top spot at 9-3. Fredonia’s loss drops it to 2-17, 1-12.
The Oswego State women’s basketball team defeated Fredonia 80-71 in a road contest at Steele Hall on Friday night. The conference win lifts Oswego to a 6-13 overall mark and a 4-8 SUNYAC record while Fredonia falls to 8-11, 5-8.
A trio of underclassmen led Oswego’s offense, as each finished the night with double-digit points. Freshman Courtney Ameele recorded a team-high 15 points, all from 3-point land.
The Fulton Force elite traveling baseball teams are preparing for their second season after finishing their first with a tournament championship and a 16-6 record. The Force has doubled in strength by adding a second travel team for the 2015 season.
Hoag Motorsports will be holding a race party fundraiser for the No. 7 Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super driven by Alex Hoag on February 28 at Lighthouse Lanes beginning at 1 p.m. The party will feature dinner choices of either barbeque chicken or pulled pork, available for just $10.

With the win, the Lakers improve to 14-4-1 on the year and 10-3-1 in league play while the Pioneers fall to 6-8-4, 4-5-3.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team fell 59-55 to Geneseo Tuesday evening at Max Ziel Gymnasium. This is only the third SUNYAC loss for the Lakers, dropping them to 8-3 in the conference and 12-6 overall.

Syrell Racing has fielded a Supermodified at Oswego Speedway for over 25 years, and in 2015 the veteran team believes all the pieces are in place for their best chance at a championship run with crew chief Joe Hawksby Jr. and driver Michael Barnes.
With the current team lineup brought together in 2014, Barnes drove the Syrell Racing No. 68 Hawk Supermodified chassis to 8th in the championship standings with two features wins, despite missing the opening event of the season.
