The Oswego State men’s soccer team lost a 1-0 contest against Wells College on Wednesday afternoon, falling to 1-5-1 on the season. Despite the tough loss at home, Oswego outshot the Express 25-9.

Lighthouse Lanes invites any and all participants to come and join this racing centered league, focused on gathering Speedway friends and supporters once a month to help pass the Speedway’s off-season. Each team must consist of four bowlers, in any combination.

The 2014 Novelis Supermodified season is now in the books at Oswego Speedway, with David Danzer charging to victory in the 75 lap Sunoco Race of Champions finale for his third win of the season worth $3,000 on Sunday afternoon. Danzer’s victory quite literally book ends the season, as the driver of the No. 52 machine won the first main event of the year back on May 10 to kick off the calendar. Dan Connors Jr. dominated a large portion of the event in the No. 01 before giving way to newly crowned track champion Otto Sitterly on lap 44.
Oswego State’s student-athletes, along with Dr. Jerald Woolfolk, vice president of student affairs, took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge following the men’s soccer game on Wednesday afternoon. A few hundred Laker athletes came to the event after being challenged two weeks ago by the college’s president, Deborah Stanley.
With Sunoco Race of Champions Weekend finally beginning at Oswego Speedway, there is a championship within a championship to be decided this weekend in the Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super and Novelis Supermodified divisions.
