The penalty comes as a result of intentional contact with fellow championship contender Dave Gruel during the lap 16 caution period for a stopped Brandon Bellinger in the July 5 Supermodified Grand Prix. After the contact, Sitterly dived to the pit area with a reported broken rocker arm in the No. 7.
Oswego Speedway’s weekly Fast Friday testing will be fast and furious on the eve of Saturday’s Summer Championship presented by C’s Beverage Center and Crop Production Services.
Just eight races into the 2014 Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super season at Oswego Speedway, four different drivers have reached victory lane for the first time, collecting five total main event victories between them. Oswego High School standout Anthony Losurdo, Mike Bruce, Jon Tesoriero, and now third generation driver Alex Hoag have all joined the Speedway’s all-time Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super win list with victories in 2014.
This Saturday, July 19, will be another great evening of fast, family affordable, racing fun where everyone 18 years old and under is admitted free into the grandstands on Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility night. The Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility is a major sponsor for the 29th Annual Outlaw 200 Weekend on October 3-4 presented by SUNY Canton at the speedway.
The annual RJ Kart Sales King of the Kartway championships took place at Oswego Kartway on Friday night with Ricky Pritchard and Paul Fountaine each reaching victory lane twice.
After a week off, Oswego Speedway’s flagship Novelis Supermodified division will be back in action Saturday night at the ‘Steel Palace’ as a part of the Speedway’s Summer Championship special presented by C’s Beverage Center and Crop Production Services. Joining the Novelis Supermodified 50-lap Summer Championship will be a 30-lap title main for the Pathfinder Bank Small Block Supers.
Bath, N.Y.’s Alex Hoag collected his first checkered flag Saturday night at the Oswego Speedway, winning the 35-lap Pathfinder Bank small block supermodified feature event. Starting from the pole position, the third-generation driver led every lap en route to the win.
With the level of competition in the Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Modifieds at the Brewerton and Fulton Speedways, one win on the weekend is tough, and two is rare. Tom Sears Jr. out of Clay, N.Y pulled off the rare feat by sweeping the weekend with his victory Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway.
