The No. 3 Oswego State baseball team was eliminated from the 2014 SUNYAC Championship with a 3-2 loss to No. 2 Brockport in a game that was suspended on Saturday night and needed just eight minutes to finish on Sunday as the squads started from the bottom of the eighth inning.

Due to rain and darkness setting in, the Lakers and Golden Eagles will resume play on at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday with Brockport holding a 3-2 lead.
The No. 3-seeded Oswego State baseball team downed No. 2 Brockport 4-1 in its first game of the double-elimination SUNYAC Championship on Friday afternoon at Wallace Field on the campus of Cortland. Oswego will now play the host and No. 1 Red Dragons of Cortland at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
In an early season where the rainy weather doesn’t want to seem to give up, wet grounds has forced the cancellation of racing for May 3 at the Fulton Speedway. On May 10 Tracey Road Equipment will present a night of family, fast, affordable fun on Girl Scout Night.
During a cool and cloudy Thursday evening test session, when most thought rain would again win the battle at Oswego Speedway, Mike Bond turned the fastest recorded lap in Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super history just days before the series opens for racing this Saturday.
Oswego Kartway’s championship Kickoff has been postponed yet again to Friday, May 9 due to continued saturated grounds from a week of rains and gray skies.With the cancellation the Kartway will now also utilize their second rain date of the season on July 25.
