The Step One Creative Peewee independent hockey team of the Oswego Minor Hockey Association captured a 10-4 win over the Cortland Flames this past weekend at the J.W. McDonald Sports Complex in Cortland.
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team completed the weekend sweep of Buffalo State with a 3-0 victory on the road on Sunday afternoon. Oswego’s win improves the team’s overall record to 10-4-1 on the season while its conference mark moves to 6-1-1.
Oswego Speedway’s Novelis Supermodified commitment program roster will increase to 26 race teams for the 2014 season at the ‘Steel Palace.’ A total of 22 Pathfinder Bank SBS machines have signed on for the program this season, making a total of 48 teams on the combined commitment roster, tying the mark set during the 2013 season.

The No. 7/10 Oswego State men’s ice hockey team took down visiting Nazareth College 3-0 on Friday night at the Campus Center Ice Arena. Oswego is now 11-2-2 on the year while the Golden Flyers fall to 2-12-1.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team fell 78-64 in a conference matchup at Brockport on Friday night. It is the first time in the 2013-14 season that the Lakers have dropped back-to-back contests. With the loss, Oswego is now 10-4 overall with a 4-3 SUNYAC mark.
