With the loss, Oswego falls to 12-4-1 on the year and 5-3-1 in SUNYAC play. The Bengals were outshot by the Lakers 33-22 while Oswego also edged Buffalo State in face-offs (33-31).
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team took nationally-ranked Elmira College to the brink on Saturday afternoon, eventually falling 2-1 in overtime to the Soaring Eagles. Oswego’s loss sets the team record back to 10-6-1 overall and 6-3-1 in the ECAC West while Elmira improves to 13-3-1, 8-0-0.

Matt Clemons rolled two 300 games, indoor track competitors had some fine efforts and the basketball teams battled on the hardwood. The hockey team continued to fight for a post season spot while the wrestling team sported several individual efforts.
Cato-Meridian High School graduate Dominick Giacolone, a senior recreation management major in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, was named team captain of the Ithaca College wrestling team for the 2013-14 season.
