Randy Ritskes announced last week that he has finalized plans to drive the Locke Crane Services No. 37 Novelis Supermodified at Oswego Speedway full-time in 2014. Ritskes, a winner of nine Supermodified main events at Oswego Speedway, most recently piloted the Daratt Racing No. 88 to two consecutive top five finishes in championship points in 2011 and 2012.
Oswego Kartway recently announced its 2014 regular season schedule with a total of 17 events set from April through August continuing on Friday nights behind Oswego Speedway.
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team completed a sweep of Chatham University on Sunday afternoon with a 3-0 victory. It was the Lakers’ third straight shutout, including second in as many days, as the team improved to 6-1-1 on the year and 4-1-1 in conference competition.

The Oswego State men’s basketball team went on a 13-2 run in overtime to defeat St. Lawrence University 90-84 on the road in Burkman Gymnasium.Oswego improves to 3-1 on the season with four reaching double figures in scoring, led by Brian Sortino’s 21 points and Mark Candelario’s 20 points.
The nationally-ranked Oswego State fell 7-4 to No. 15 SUNY Geneseo in Wilson Ice Arena on Friday night. With the loss, Oswego falls to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in SUNYAC play.
Oswego Kartway’s annual awards banquet was held last Saturday night at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego with some 150 guests in attendance for the year end gathering. The regular season’s 11 track champions were honored receiving a beautiful trophy from Platinum Promotional Products as well as a champion’s jacket from Top Stitch and a gift certificate from RJ Kart Sales.
Kaleb Zedack of Mexico, is a participating member of the SUNY Delhi Men’s Swimming and Diving Team. Zedack is pursuing an associate’s degree in Physical Education Studies at Delhi.
The Oswego State women’s basketball team fought past Hamilton College 76-72 on Wednesday night in a nonconference matchup in Max Ziel Gymnasium. With the victory, Oswego stays perfect on the campaign, improving to 3-0 while the Continentals drop to 1-2.
