Senior Blake Fisher pushed his win streak to nine matches, but it would not be enough as the Oswego State wrestling team (3-8) lost to Oneonta, 36-6, Saturday afternoon. Fisher came up just short of recording a major decision at 165 pounds, as he defeated Shaun Gillen, 9-2.
A pair of late first- and second-period goals provided the separation the No. 4/6 Oswego State men’s ice hockey team (16-3-0, 9-1-0 SUNYAC) needed before finishing strong in a 5-1 win over Brockport (4-13-2, 3-7-1) Friday night at the Campus Center Ice Arena.

The NAPA Late Model class will continue to be an integral part of the weekly racing program at Fulton Speedway in 2013, the fourth consecutive season the GM crate powered Late Models have competed at the high banks. After a slow start in 2012, the fields picked up and the NAPA Late Models staged some outstanding feature events throughout the year.
A sensational series by Oswego High School Buc bowler Joe Clavelli paced the Bucs in a three-game sweep of Syracuse on Thursday. Clavelli started the day with a near perfect effort with the first 11 balls all strikes to finish with a 298 and followed up with 269 and 225 for a 792 series.
The Oswego Squirt 1 Hockey Team scored three unanswered goals in the third period to rally and win 4-2 against Camillus in recent Snowbelt League action.
Cory Keefe continues to display why he is one of the top sprinters in Section III while the Lady Buc basketball team moved to 7-7 on the year, the Buc boys’ squad fell to a strong foe and the wrestlers had three individual wins.
The finals will bring the NEMA Midgets, NEMA Lites, and ATQMRA TQ Midgets together with Oswego’s Novelis Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS Series, as they will be competing in extra distance events during the final round of their ‘Road to the Championship.’
Fresh off of the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Championships, the Oswego State wrestling team (3-7) suffered a 41-5 setback to Brockport (4-1) Wednesday night.
