The Oswego State field hockey team ran into a solid goaltending performance as it lost to Ithaca, 2-0, Wednesday afternoon.

The Oswego State volleyball team (1-1) struggled to get into an offensive rhythm as it suffered a 3-0 loss (25-11, 25-10, 25-15) to Keuka (3-0) on Tuesday night.

John Mackie and Dustin Farley posted identical rounds of 77 at the Potsdam Invitational to help the Oswego State men’s golf team tie for second place with a team score of 316 on the par-72 Potsdam Country Club Tuesday.

After starting 14th on the grid, Canajoharie, NY driver Otto Sitterly passed Joe Gosek on lap 154 to take the lead in the annual Super special and never looked back on his way to his third International win and second consecutive.

The Oswego State field hockey team (0-2) was unable to overcome a three-goal halftime deficit en route to a 6-0 loss to the University of Rochester (2-0) Sunday night.

For the second straight day, Bri Dolan and Georgia Traynor connected for a goal on a free kick to help seal a 2-0 victory for the Oswego State women’s soccer team (2-0-0) over Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham (0-2-0) on Sunday.

The old racing saying, “High-Wide And Handsome” applied to Mike Mahaney Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway. Mahaney back behind the wheel of his family owned Big Blocked Modified  took the lead on lap 7, and then held off 2012 Track Champion Billy Decker, riding the cushion on a wicked fast surface.

In 2002, Timmy Jedrzejek drove the May 77 to a flag to flag victory at Oswego’s ISMA Super Nationals on Classic weekend. Then he came back in 2009 for a second win in the car that almost beat him Saturday. But, this third victory, in the Soule Racing 32 was probably the most exciting of the three.
