Bucs Rally For Lacrosse Victory
Better weather conditions greeted the Oswego High School Buc varsity lacrosse team as it hit Joe Wilber Field on Wednesday. A six-goal second half explosion spearheaded by two goals apiece by Dan Maniccia and Matt Lloyd spelled the difference as the Bucs walked off the field with a 6-3 win and a 2-0 early season record.
Speed Demons Celebrate Successful Swim Season
The Fulton YMCA Speed Demons community swim team celebrated a successful season at its annual awards banquet at Lakeview Lanes, Sunday, March 27. The 69 members of the team and their families enjoyed a meal, accepted awards and honored its departing seniors.

Oz Roller Girls Prepare For Busy Derby Season
Oz Roller Girls was formed in May and its 40-plus members — including skaters, refs and NSOs (nonskating officials) — have been training for the upcoming home and away season. Oz’s first home bout is slated for 6 p.m., April 23, at the Crisafulli Rink at Fort Ontario.
Cianfarano, Lloyd Pace Buc Lax Win
The temperature might have been less than 20 degrees, but it didn’t stop the Oswego varsity boys’ lacrosse team from heating up. On March 25, the 2011 campaign commenced for the lax team as the Bucs hosted Iroquois under the lights and came away with a convincing 12-4 victory.
Planning for Tri-Oswego 2011 Triathlon in Full Stride
Preparations for the June 25-26th Tri-Oswego 2011 Triathlon are in full stride, and hundreds of participants, their families and friends are anticipated for the weekend of competition and fun-filled activities in Oswego, according to Ron Nelson, Tri-Oswego Race Director.
