Working with the National Math Foundation’s Math and Movement Program, participants enjoyed a multi-sensory approach to teaching math and reading that incorporates exercise, stretching, cross-body movements and colorful floor mats that allow the practice of basic skills while using visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning methods.

It is aligned with Common Core standards and NYS regulations and aims to encourage abstract thinking, while building muscle memory and fostering positive feelings about learning.

Also on hand at the event were additional stations to explore, including a book fair, Girl Scouts, Before and After School Child Care on Location, Oswego County Opportunities and visiting authors. missing or outdated ad config
