ARC of Oswego County will host a Family Education Night for parents and caregivers of children with developmental disabilities and other special needs. Roxanne Euson, the former Director of Parkside Children’s Services and a Special Projects Teacher with ARC of Oswego County, will speak on power struggles and separation anxiety with special children. A parent panel will also offer a chance for families to share experiences and ask questions. The evening will be held Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at ARC of Oswego’s Fun Rock Café (with registration from 5:30 to 6:00pm).
The evening is free of charge and is open to the public, but reservations are required. A light dinner and dessert will be available, and free on-site child care is offered. To register, interested persons should call Corinne MacEwen at 598-4859 by Nov. 13 with the number of children and adults expected to attend.
ARC of Oswego County is a private, not-for-profit organization which has been providing programs and services to children and seniors with disabilities since 1955. Services include Early Intervention and evaluation services for infants and toddlers, guardianship assistance, recreational and respite activities, senior day habilitation programs, and more.
