FULTON, NY – Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Oswego County, Mary-Margaret Pezzella-Pekow announced that Tim Archer has been named supervisor for the agency’s Adult Mental Health programs.
Archer joined Catholic Charities in 2000 and has been a mental health case manager for the past ten years.
As a case manager he worked closely with his clients to create an individual service plan specifically designed to help the client reach their desired goals.
He also served as an advocate for his clients and assisted them in accessing other services that would enable them to accomplish their goals.
In addition to supervising intensive and supportive case managers, Archer will also oversee Catholic Charities’ Peer Advocacy program that advocates choice and empowerment for people living with mental health issues and co-occurring disorders; the Step By Step Clubhouse, a psychosocial club providing consumer and recovery-oriented community-based rehabilitation; and Bright Horizons, a drop-in clubhouse servicing adults in the northern Oswego County area who have been diagnosed with a mental illness.
“I have always enjoyed working in the human services field and helping others. As supervisor I will be able to continue to do so at an advanced level while still maintaining a professional relationship with our clients. I am looking forward to working with the case managers, our peer advocates, and the staff at Step By Step and Bright Horizons and ensuring that all of these services continue to provide a high level of support and encouragement to our consumers,” said Archer.
“We are happy to have Tim lead our Adult Mental Health programs,” said Pezzella-Pekow. “His extensive knowledge of the program and his concern for our consumers will serve him well in his new position.”

I have called Mr. Archer on three different Issues. He has never once returned my calls . I had to call over and over again until I was able to reach him.
Once I did reach him, I expressed my concerns about the Advocates that are working there ( NOT DOING THE JOB THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO) Mr. Archer, Said that he would talk to Advocate and take care of that matter.
It is Feb /2011 , now.. Nothing has changed and he will not return my calls. I have several friends that receive the same services and they have complaints about the Advocates also. They are supposed to be dealing with people who need support- services and mental health advocacy or Case management.
I have every intention of commenting on this issue if the current workers can not complete the job they are supposed to be doing with the clients.
We don’t ask for much… You might just want to make sure your workers are showing up on visits when they should! They get paid for it and never show up!!!!!!!!
