Catholic Charities ‘Great Tastings’ Fundraiser Adds Live Entertainment

Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s “Great Tastings,” will feature the keyboard styling of pianist Larry Rapshaw, and Chef Bill Hubel of Fulton’s Blue Moon Grill will be among the supporters offering food samples, said Mary Margaret Pezzella-Pekow, CCOC executive director.

Rapshaw will play for the entire event on May 3, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Lake Ontario Conference Center, Oswego.

“For the price of a ticket, guests receive a complimentary wine glass and can sample offerings from NY wineries that include Colloca Estate Winery, Owera Vineyards, and Thousand Islands Winery,” Pezzela-Pekow said. “Eagle Beverage will have samples of a variety of local craft beers, wines from Venditti Vineyards, and locally produced 21 Tequila.”

In addition to Blue Moon Grill’s offering, there will be a wide variety of foods to sample.

Vendors featured include Cakes Galore, Canale’s Restaurant, Colosse Cheese, GS Steamers, Man in the Moon Candies, and Taste the World!

There will also be two $50 lottery-board drawings, a silent auction, and multiple gift raffles.

Auction items include an $800 table top air purifier from HealthWay Home Products and a $500 DJ package from Mystic Music Entertainment Services.

Raffle items include a variety of gift certificates provided by our vendors and other area businesses.

“All funds raised will benefit CCOC’s Community Services including the Catholic Youth Organization, the Food Pantry and Emergency Services,” Pezzella-Pekow said.

Tickets are $25 per person and are available at the Catholic Charities office, 365 W. First St., Fulton, or from any CCOC board member: Stephen Frawley, Frances Lanigan, Paul Foster, James Mirabito, David Dano, Rev.
