CiTi BOCES Receives $500 Donation from TACNY to Support After-School STEAM Programming

OSWEGO COUNTY – CiTi BOCES is thrilled to announce the receipt of a $500 donation from the Technology Alliance of Central New York (TACNY) to support after-school STEAM programming for students enrolled in the Oswego County P-TECH Program.
This contribution will assist in launching an after-school STEAM club, providing students with engaging activities designed to enhance their educational experiences and build professional skills—all while having fun! The donation will be used to purchase art supplies, STEAM kits, board games, and robotics equipment, offering diverse tools to spark creativity and hands-on learning.
“We are excited to open new activities that build student skills in a recreational environment,” said Amanda Petrie, Principal of Oswego County P-TECH. “We thank TACNY for their continued support of STEM programs that allow students to explore and get inspired by STEAM activities and careers.”
The Oswego County P-TECH Program offers 9th-grade students the unique opportunity to simultaneously earn a Regents High School Diploma and an Associate Degree from Onondaga Community College—at no cost to their families. Career clusters include mechanical technology, electrical technology, and electromechanical technology.
