Classmates, friends, family, CiTi staff members and representatives from the students’ home school districts filled CiTi’s gymnasium and cheered on the 12 graduates as they processed in the venue.

The culmination of their public school education was met with a final assignment from CiTi District Superintendent Christopher Todd: to go home and make a list of all of the people who helped them achieve their goals.

A special student video presentation featured photographs of yesteryear and the students’ final stretch of high school.

Exceptional Education administrators reflected on the successes and positive experiences each student had.

STRIVE Principal Amy Fiedler-Horack provided a brief, personalized message to all graduates in which she referenced their shining personalities, resiliency, perseverance and determination.

The graduates then offered their reflections of the Exceptional Education program.

“The time has come for new beginnings,” said graduate Alexis Hartle (Hannibal Central School District). “I’ll always carry the memories made here in my heart.”
