‘Grape Expectations’ Wine Tasting Fundraiser Adds Themed Gift Baskets, Auction Items

Catholic Charities of Oswego County (CCOC) is hosting “Grape Expectations,” a wine tasting fundraiser on Sep. 28, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the River Vista Center, 810 S. First St., Fulton, said Mary Margaret Pezzella-Pekow, CCOC executive director. All funds raised will benefit CCOC’s Catholic Youth activities. Frances Lanigan, left, event chair, and Stephen Frawley, CCOC board president, display a wine and spirits theme gift basket donated by Rt. 481 Liquors & Wines. This and other baskets—with Halloween, collectible dolls, Man in the Moon Candies themes and others—will be raffled at the event. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Catholic Charities or at the door. The ticket price includes tasting nine wines, hors d'oeuvres and desserts, live music, art demonstrations, and a good time,” Pezzella-Pekow said. Attendees may also purchase wine by the glass at the event.
