OSWEGO, NY – Don’t miss the biggest event of the fall, the CNY Great Pumpkin Festival.
Sponsored by the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, the 19th annual CNY Great Pumpkin Festival is a fun-filled two-day celebration of the harvest season that the whole family will enjoy.
Scheduled for Oct. 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the CNY Great Pumpkin Festival fills Washington Square Park in Oswego with crafters, farm produce, food vendors, music and games for children of all ages, including: air hops, face painting, carnival rides and challenging games.
Adults can enjoy shopping for arts and crafts items from the many vendors that will be at the festival as well as wine tasting from some of the state’s finest wineries.
While the festival gets under way at 11 a.m., the Great Pumpkin Weigh-In will take place Oct. 2 beginning at 10 a.m.
The giant pumpkins will be on display at the CNY Great Pumpkin Fest Oct. 2 only, so stop down early and see some of the largest pumpkins ever grown.
The two-day event will also feature a wide variety of entertainment with live performances each day featuring:
Irish Step Dancers from the Kinlough Academy of Irish Dance, 11 – 11:30 a.m. Oct. 2
Domicolo / Barlow Band, noon – 2:30 p.m. Oct. 2
The Royal Paynes, 3 – 6 p.m. Oct. 2
The Do Good Swing Band, 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Oct. 3
