Ellen Butler Clark, Concierge of Experience Oswego, will outline how you, as a business owner, can be a concierge for your own business at the next Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training’s monthly breakfast meeting, March 3 at 8 a.m. at Operation Oswego County, 44 W. Bridge St.
“Any business can be improved by adapting the time-tested qualities of a professional concierge to your business,” Clark said.
Qualities like integrity, sincerity and passion can be portrayed to your clients, whether you have an actual “brick and mortar” business, handle everything online or somewhere in between. Most importantly, making your clients feel like guests in an upscale hotel, will ultimately create client loyalty for your business.
Clark, Concierge of Experience Oswego NY, set out more than 25 years ago to fulfill her dream of running a bed and breakfast as she raised her children.
While things did not go quite as planned (Do they ever?), she finally realized that goal. Today, with her kids grown and her stint as innkeeper having come to an end, Clark has expanded on her original dream and is now a concierge in the city of Oswego.
“Things to do. Places to go. People to see.” is the tagline for Experience Oswego, as Clark believes that there is something for everyone in the city of Oswego.
Her latest success has been “Hearts on the Bridge,” where Experience Oswego was approved by the Common Council to have 10 five-foot illuminated and animated hearts placed on the Bridge Street bridge in Oswego for the month of February.
“Just something to make to people smile,” Clark said.
Through networking, presentations and information sharing, WNET provides professional development and personal growth for women in business.
The cost for each seminar is $15. Each seminar includes a light breakfast.
