FULTON, NY – Students and mentors in the Fulton School Mentoring Program recently took part in a field trip to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse.
Mentors, mentees and staff enjoyed lions, tigers, and bears.
They also enjoyed a bird show, performing elephants, and various other creatures they could find on this summer outing.
The trip to the Rosamond Gifford Zoo is part of the program’s summer events and was the second event held this summer; the summer events will be completed with the annual picnic to be held in late August.
The Mentoring Program matches adult mentors with Fulton youth ages 8-15 and is a collaboration between Oswego County Opportunities, the Fulton Community Task Force, Catholic Charities and the Fulton School District.

The Fulton School Mentoring Program is fully funded by a DJCS grant and serves students in the Fulton City School District.
