MEXICO – An over-the-top comedic murder-mystery is set to soon bring laughs – and clues – to Mexico High School.

“The Bold, The Young and The Murdered” will be presented at 7 p.m. on Nov. 3 and Nov. 4 in the school’s auditorium after several weeks of student preparation.
Teacher assistant and play director Cassie Story said the performance takes places on the set of a soap opera where the producer gives an ultimatum: finish the show in one more night or people will die.
Story said one of the most challenging pieces of the play is the student actors learning dual roles; as part of the soap opera cast and crew, as well as the crew in their lives outside of work.
Students from grades nine through 12 are both actors and a part of the backstage crew.
The young adults have rehearsed from 3 to 5 p.m. daily to perfect their performance.
They have encouraged their classmates, family members and people in the community to attend the hilarious, unforgettable piece.
Story has promised a huge plot twist at the end.
Cast and crew include: Josh Washer as Jake Strong/Morris Nyborg, Devon Thayer as Sebastian Strong/Bill Wiley, Baxter Mason as Valencio Di Carpathio/John Burke, Keneisha Rowser as Mona Jeffries/Cybil Dane, Morgan Rhoads as Eileen Silverstedt/Amy White, Marisa Jaquin as Jessica Silverstedt/Danielle Farris, Nate Galluzzo as Doctor William Bradley/Tyler Tripodo, Jennifer Babcock as Seyouiya/Lily Baumgartner, Destiny Dolring as Olivia/personal assistant to Miles, Maria Balaguer as Kaitlin, Katelynn Spaulding as Keri, Catrina Edwards as Brooke, Yalee Beer as Mary, Caden McCormack as microphone operator, Rachel Rose as personal assistant to Eileen and Alyssa Dann as backstage hand.
Pre-sale tickets for $5 each may be purchased from any cast member, or tickets will be available for $7 at the door.
