Ninth Annual Regional Awareness Program RAP For Young Drivers Set For March 27

On March 27 Oswego County BOCES, in partnership with many Oswego County agencies, will be hosting the eighth annual Regional Awareness Program for Young Drivers (RAP for Young Drivers).

This free program is open to the public and will include presentations by many area agencies including the following:

• New York State Police
• Oswego County Sheriff’s Department
• Oswego County District Attorney’s Office
• Oswego County STOP DWI program
• Oswego County Traffic and Safety Board
• Oswego County BOCES’ transportation department, and
• Oswego County BOCES’ driver’s education program

The program will be held at the Oswego County BOCES’ main campus location, 179 County Route 64, Mexico, and will begin at 7:00 p.m.

A wide range of topics will be presented at the program including Oswego County STOP DWI, junior license, seat belt use, distracted driving and more.

RAP is aimed at young drivers and their parents, but all drivers are invited to attend this informative program. It is held at this time of year to coincide with the changing weather and prom season. There is no charge to attend. Each year the program has attracted over 300 students and their parents to the event. For more information visit the Oswego County BOCES website at www.OswegoBOCES.org.
