Designed for individuals with developmental disabilities, OCO’s Day Habilitation is a work program alternative.  Available on two levels the program offers individuals a group program at the Fulton YMCA that provides them with a variety of on site activities and community outings. OCO’s Day Habilitation also offers those who prefer one-on-one, in-home programming.  Both on site and in-home programs offer individuals opportunities to volunteer and participate in enriching activities.  The program is currently serving 28 individuals.

OCO’s Day Habilitation staff works closely with consumers to ensure that they reach their greatest potential.  “Staff members meet with each individual consumer to establish personal goal plans based upon their unique needs. These goals include social skills, community awareness, and leisure time activities within the home or on site,” explained Program Manager, Allison Griffin.

While consumers receive services during the daytime hours Monday through Friday, Griffin added that there is the opportunity to receive services in the evening if the consumer and the planning team deem it beneficial to consumers’ well being.
