Oswego County DSS Hosts Orientation Meeting May 15 on Foster Parenting and Adoption

MEXICO – Foster and adoptive families are needed in Oswego County for children who range in age from birth to 21. Children awaiting adoption typically are eight years old and older, and have special needs.

The Oswego County Department of Social Services will host an orientation meeting from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at the DSS Building, 100 Spring St., for people who are considering becoming foster or adoptive parents.

The meeting is a pre-requisite to enrolling in the certification training program. Registration is required.
