OSWEGO – As part of its CU Cares program, Oswego County Federal Credit Union (OCFCU) awarded Oswego County Opportunities (OCO) with a check for $2,500 in support of the agency’s Mental Health and Transitional Living programs.

“We established the CU Cares program to greatly benefit our community and our membership,” said OCFCU CEO Bill Carhart. “Each of our branches was given the opportunity to choose organizations within their communities that they found deserving of donations. Each organization chosen received $2,500!”

OCO’s Mental Health and Transitional Living program provides residential services to individuals with a psychiatric diagnosis. This program is designed to allow adults diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in the community in the least restrictive environment. The program offers two levels of residential and rehabilitative assistance to adults who cannot live in the community independently.
