OSWEGO, NY – Looking for the finest in farm fresh fruits, vegetables and other produce?
You’ll find it at the Oswego Farmers’ Market.
Located on West First Street, between Bridge and Oneida streets, the market offers a great selection of fresh produce, with new items and vendors added weekly as more produce comes into season.
The Sept. 2 market will be SUNY Night as the Mayor’s College Community Relations Committee together with the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce is working to make the Sept. 2 Oswego Farmers’ Market one that will welcome thousands of SUNY students back to Oswego and has planned a number of special events for the evening including:
Representatives from the CCRC will have a booth during the market to greet students and welcome them to the community.
Flags in SUNY Oswego’s colors of green and gold will adorn West First Street.
SUNY Oswego’s Center will provide transportation for the students to the market.
The Oswego State downtown store will have special gear available for purchase for Green and Gold day Sept. 3.
Providing the music for SUNY Night at the market will be The Love Volcanoes.
Formed in Oswego, The Love Volcanoes is a quintet of talented musicians that perform a number of eclectic sounds that drawing from genres such as Americana, folk, pop rock, 1950s rock, southern rock, golden country, and 1970s classic rock.
Their impressive live shows highlight the band’s interesting song showcase, including songs from their “Fault†album as well as their jamming ability and vocal harmonies.
Electronic transactions such as credit, debit or food stamp cards can be accommodated at the chamber’s market booth as customers may purchase tokens that function as cash within the market.
The market is held Thursdays from 4 – 8 p.m. through Sept. 30.
