Parents Of Special Children Names New Program Coordinator

FULTON, NY – Parents of Special Children Inc. recently announced Chrystal Hoyt as the agency’s new program coordinator.

Hoyt assumed duties for the agency in June and will be responsible for the overall operations, community outreach, and program growth.

“We are very pleased to have Chrystal as our new coordinator,” noted board president Monica Stoutenger. “Her long-time experience with the volunteer and business community will be a great asset to our growing agency.”

Hoyt previously served as the volunteer and membership coordinator for Oswego Harbor Festivals and also worked for the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber as the membership services coordinator.

Hoyt attended Fulton City Schools and Wilma Boyd College, Pittsburgh, Pa.

She is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Oswego County, and a 2008 recipient of the 40 under 40 recognition award.

Parents of Special Children is a 21-year-old not-for-profit community agency that provides supportive services to families raising children and adults with disabilities.

Services include respite care, caregiver reimbursement; assistance with special requests, advocacy, and recently the agency has organized and been host to a local group of parents of children with Autism called Connections.
