Taste Of Oswego To Feature Plenty Of Live Music

OSWEGO, NY – Music will provide a lively atmosphere at this year’s Taste of Oswego, sponsored by Alliance Bank.

The Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce Taste of Oswego, sponsored by Alliance Bank, will start with a performance by Jimmy D & The Jury at noon. The event will be held on East Linear Park  behind the Econolodge.

Enjoy live performances from two of the area’s most popular bands while tasting samples of menu items from some of Oswego County’s finest eateries.

Jimmy D & The Jury kicks off Taste of Oswego when they take the stage at noon.

Known for their enthusiastic renditions of vintage ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s classic rock and roll hits, Jimmy D & The Jury’s stage energy and infectious performance has something for everyone.

The music continues with a live performance from The Billionaires beginning at 3 p.m.

No stranger to Oswego, The Billionaires entertained crowds at the Oswego Farmers’ Market and the West Linear Park Concert Series earlier this year.

The dynamic sounds of one of Central New York’s most experienced bands, The Billionaires, will fill the air during Taste of Oswego from 3 to 6 p.m.

One of Central New York’s most experienced bands, they perform a variety of popular music and feature both male and female vocalists along with a dynamic rhythm section.

Taste of Oswego is scheduled for Aug. 29 from noon to 6 p.m.

Samples for $1, as well as other menu items will be available from more than a dozen Oswego County restaurants and eateries.

There will also be a special “Power for Kids” tent for the children sponsored by Novelis, NRG, Entergy, and Constellation.

Featuring a variety of children’s activities such as air hops, sno-cones and much more, the “Power for Kids” tent will appeal to both children and their parents.

Admission to the event is free.
